Thanks to the hard work and cooperation throughout the entire CantaMia community, we raised $11,662 for the United Goodyear Firefighter Charities
Although CantaMia Pickleball players won this year, the firefighters were close behind and will be looking for a comeback next time.
The CMPC Social Committee brought it together from a spark of an idea to what many are saying was the biggest event ever at CantaMia.
Special guest Jay "Gizmo" Hall, a professional Pickleball player and ambassador, and a former firefighter himself, helped bring the event to life. From clinics for local kids, to clinics for CantaMia, to his play for the firefighters, he was here for us.
All donations and proceeds collected will go to the United Goodyear Firefighters charities. Programs supported include Fill the Boot for Muscular Dystrophy Association, homeless youth, westside food drive, back-to-school drives and toy drives.
The Cooking Club sold every item baked, providing enjoyment for all purchasers, and a big contribution to firefighter charities.
It is hard to believe what creative pieces our own residents made to sell for the event
Karen Mayer brought relaxation to many customers and contributed funds to charities
The silent auction featured handmade creations including quilts, windchimes, paintings, gift baskets, and a Smart TV donated by Arizona Lakes and Ponds. it brought in a bundle.
Kids and parents visited CantaMia to see the firetruck, listen to the firefighters, and of course meet Gizmo!
The Artisan Club flipped hundreds of burgers to feed the crowd.
